ABSTRACT
CONTEXT: One of the prime thrust of social studies in the primary education settings is to develop holistic and responsible citizens of a nation who can bring social change and development. The main goal of this subject is to develop students who are analytical, creative, responsible, productive, and nationalistic and cares for the environment and humanity (Saguid, 2016). Taking into account the importance of using video and visual objects for teaching, some universities utilize YouTube as a complementary teaching tool, This action research will try to evaluate the effects of ICT, Youtube videos in particular on the performance of selected Grade 6 pupils in Araling Panlipunan.
DESIGN/METHODLOGY/APPROACH: At the start of the 3rd Quarter, the teacher decided to make use of videos and learning material found in Youtube in each topic. The 3rd quarterly grades of forty (20) randomly selected pupils will be evaluated together with their 4th quarterly grade. The teacher will be using Youtube videos and learning content were carefully selected to fit the level of understanding of the students.
RESEARCH LIMITATIONS: This research is believed applicable to Grade 4 pupils of this study. The use of Youtube based materials is limited to classroom use and somehow acted as visual aids in the everyday interaction with the teacher. Results may vary if employed to other grade level.
ORIGINALITY/VALUE: This research will help others to understand the role of technology in enhancing the present situation of learning environment. Technology must be used properly in order to provide positive result to students.

This paper seeks to delve into the potential use of e-learning as an instrument wherein higher education institutions could exchange ideas, share research strategies and collaborate on future endeavors. It will deal with the problems that maybe encountered in such a setup , the technological support for example that it would entail and the logistics support that it could require. It will focus on the formulation of learning management systems to support e-learning capabilities, the instrument used by institutions and the degree of collaboration to be implemented. In such an arrangement, institutions will focus on the setting up of collaborative tools which would address the e-transactions occurring among themselves. In such a scenario, knowledge-based research would be at the finger tips of academicians and research activities would be unified and quickly adapted by members. The important aspect to be considered is the capability of institutions to share their knowledge and skills to their less-developed counterparts and ability of the region to adapt to these changes. The potential academic fruits cannot however be ignored with unparalleled research growth in the region to be reaped.

States are in a dilemma whether or not to open their markets to the encroaching influence of globalization or shut their doors to such phenomenon by adopting close and protectionist policies. This paper seeks to clarify the concept of globalization as understood by the international community. It seeks to present the views of those who believe that states have become powerless and obsolete in the face of globalization and the opposite view that states have become more powerful and have strengthened their presence in the international markets. Moreover, it attempts to reconcile both conflicting perspectives and presupposes that both views are actually partially correct and they are not as divergent as they are perceived to be.

This paper seeks to amplify relevant knowledge regarding traditional or classical realism. It would try to re-visit and re-analyze the historical perspective on the most popular theory of International Relations. It hopes to show data that Classical Realism is still applicable and relevant today in spite of the abundance of the latest theories in IR.. Specifically, it will discuss the views of Classical Realists Morgenthau and Carr and the realist experiences of China and Russia to show that indeed, the Realist way of life still exists.

— This paper intends to expound on the reasons behind India's adoption of the Look East Policy which it intends to utilize in jumpstarting its laggard economy and be at par with the tigers of the east, namely Japan, China, South Korea, Taiwan and Hongkong, to name a few. This calls for the establishment of better cultural, trade and political links with these industrialized countries and in the process attain increased productivity and development. Indeed, the adoption of such policies has catapulted the economies of such countries as India, Singapore and Malaysia to greater and unprecedented heights. However, the author believes that the adoption of such policy is not enough if not coupled with the right economic ambience, reforms and political transformation and reconstruction. If states fail to match foreign policies with national discipline and integrity, such an effort would be put to naught. In the case of India, it has reinforced such policy by measures such as privatization, eradication of corruption and streamlining of the bureaucracy. Without such domestic adjustments complementing such external policy, the probability is great that such policy would ultimately fail. Thus, if the Philippines would adopt a policy of such magnitude and character as the one adopted by India to attain NIC status, it must accompany such endeavor with internal changes in order to succeed.

This article discusses the four different roles of local governments which are promoting economic growth, providing or securing life's amenities, maintaining traditional services and arbitrating among conflicting interests. It illustrates the images of the proper role of government or to the actual role of government. This typology was later applied to four different localities in the United States which are Springdale Village, Park Forest, Middletown and Chicago. The first role of the local government is to provide for the proper ambience to spur the locality towards economic growth not only in terms of population but also wealth. The primary goal however in this endeavor is to support the producer although stakeholders such as the banker, the editor, the merchant and city bureaucrats also are stakeholders. Although there are many hindrances to such development, the local government must exert effort to project a good image. This however, runs counter to the second factor which is the role of the local government in providing and securing life's amenities which are attributes of a high standard of living. Many cities have adopted policies to curtail noise and smoking in public places but these are not enough. To this must be added other demands of residents such as safety, peace, beauty and convenience. These conflicting interests however, can be addressed by a higher income among residents as the locality will still be able to address such issues due to a higher income from taxes. This is definitely related to the third role which is the maintenance of traditional services or caretaker government. Such maintenance can only be maintained if taxes are increased and such an action will be immediately opposed by majority of the citizens. Such action will only appeal to the low income bracket or the pensioners who have to rely on social services to make ends meet. Lastly, the local government must also try to arbitrate between conflicting interests. This would mean that what ever action the local authorities would take, someone will always get hurt. This could refer to the minorities as the needs of the majority will have to be given precedence in the order of business. These four types of roles can be further categorized into two groups which are: the unitary conception of the public good and those implying a pluralistic conception. To the former belong the first two roles while the remaining roles are part of the pluralistic conception. This distinction between the unitary and the pluralistic is very essential in understanding the attitude towards governmental structure and the proper role of government to be applied in the four localities to be discussed later. The four localities were primarily selected due to their similarities as all belong to the same state, have the same approximate population of 50,000, were independent manufacturing centers and all have home rule charters. The policies of these cities were studied within a ten-year period. They were labeled

Naging hati ang pananaw na ito lalo na sa magkatunggaling paniniwala ng dalawang panig: ang mga Katolikong Rizalista na naniniwalang si Rizal ay gumawa ng isang Retraksiyon at ang mga Masonistang Rizal na naninindigang hindi binawi ni Rizal ang kanyang mga isinulat ukol sa simbahang Katoliko at pamahalaang Kastila. Mas lalong nadagdagan ang usaping retraksiyon sa paglitaw ng isang dokumento noong 1935 na di umano'y naglalaman ng totoong retraksiyon ni Rizal sapagkat ito'y nagdulot ng panibagong anggulo sa nasabing usapin. Perhaps disillusioned by the mode of governance in Athens which led to the death of his mentor, Socrates, Plato incorporated into his Republic some of his ideas to improve the competence of leaders. In such an endeavor, he elaborated on the importance of education, training, patriotism and even censorship in molding leaders of vision, integrity and respect. Indeed, various scholars agree that these Platonic concepts are still relevant and applicable today as society look for leaders who will provide the guiding principle and strong motivation to move forward in their quest for development and progress. Thus, the author believes that these Platonic views on the traits leaders should possess and how they should deal with their citizens or subjects have to be adopted by present-day rulers and leaders to gain the trust and confidence of their citizens and peers and for them to govern well in their respective states.. Thus, these Platonic leadership values are also relevant and meaningful in the Philippine contemporary setting and needs to be introduced and encouraged to provide the impetus for the Filipino people to achieve economic and political growth and sustainability PAGE \* MERGEFORMAT 13

Universities around the world are constantly searching for means to improve the delivery of knowledge and subject to their students. De la Salle University-Dasmarinas, in a bid to take advantage of the e-technology, through its blended learning strategy, has virtually cut in half the classroom course work, resulting in savings and unprecedented access to on-line sources. This study was primarily conducted on Political Science junior students of said course because they are considered the best sampling group in the strata. The study utilized the descriptive survey research design and data were gathered mainly through the use of the questionnaire. Descriptive statistics was then applied. The study involved the entire third year students taking up Political Science at De la Salle University-Dasmarinas in the first semester of school year 2015-2016. There are forty four respondents who answered the questionnaire.

While the e-class has its advantages such as allowing struggling students to practice, improving their internet literacy, changing the classroom pace, demonstration of other skills, learning current events and news and improving content acquisition; it has also its inadequacies such as the lack of suitable materials, lack of interest on the part of students, poor technical and physical infrastructure, insufficient technical knowledge, absence of appropriate guidance and inadequate period to answer assessments. Indeed, it has been generally observed that while the e-class has its perks and advantages, it has also drawbacks which this study hopes to address and be given adequate solution.

The glorious revolution that broke out in 1896 is a major highlight in our history. That revolution is the stepping stone in forming our nation and identity as a Filipino. Before the revolution, it is clear that there are systems that are applied in the secret society called Katipunan that has political foundations. Political accountability in the formation of an organized government in the society is essential in establishing good governance that led the Katipunan to its success in the revolution. It uses different studies and literature with regards to political accountability and relate it to the historical events happened inside the secret society of Katipunan. This paper will discuss the political accountability in the Katipunan as a foundation of the revolution of 1896 that resulted to the Philippine independence in 1898.
